My connection with Ruth Buffam was sparked when I first met her at one of my Teaching Parenting the Positive Discipline Way workshops. Since then, we have become good friends.
Ruth is passionate about Positive Discipline and her workshops and presentations reflect that passion. Her presentation style is engaging and enthusiastic—and fun! I was pleased, honoured, and excited when Ruth recently took the advanced training necessary to make her the first Certified Positive Discipline Trainer in Canada. I so appreciate the work that Ruth is doing to spread Positive Discipline in Canada and I have supported her in developing a Canadian Positive Discipline website. I highly recommend Ruth to anyone looking for a speaker or workshop.

Ruth Buffam has a gift for communicating that she knows what she’s talking about from experience while at the same time, helping participants feel safe so that we can learn from her. She is engaging and hospitable. Ruth uses activities to help us understand her teaching points and to open up new possibilities for dealing with children’s behaviours respectfully to get the results we desire. I highly encourage you to take advantage of any opportunity to learn from Ruth!

Since attending your Positive Discipline workshop a few weeks ago, I've been gradually implementing Positive Discipline tools. My relationship with my son has been transformed! I can't thank-you enough Ruth!

I found your "Positive Discipline for Childcare Providers" Workshop to be incredibly helpful and informative. I came away with so many great strategies on how how to help children develop self-reliance while increasing their self esteem as well.

Positive Discipline has provided me with so many options for dealing with student behaviour. Class meetings have almost eliminated after recess tattling and the kids now do so much of their own problem solving!

Thank-you for all your support. Positive Discipline has turned our chaotic home into a home where everyone contributes. There is so much less conflict! The kids don't fight as much because they are learning problem solving skills and know they can discuss their problems at our family meeting if they need to. What a difference!
